From June 23-25, teams from various regions of Russia and Hegang, People’s Republic of China, participating in the “Diplomat of the Future” game arrived in Yakutsk. A total of 120 young diplomats are participating in this specialized session. The “Diplomat of the Future” game is being held as part of the III International Science Games, which will run until July 14, 2026.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation and President of the “Diplomats of the Future” children’s movement, Valery Egoshkin, noted:

“The paths of young diplomats pass through Yakutia. For 20 years, work has been underway here to introduce young people to the culture of diplomacy. Children from the republic actively participate in our movement’s events and sessions at Artek and Okean. The level of Yakut schoolchildren’s interest in international relations and foreign policy is very high. We will exchange experiences to disseminate best practices across the country’s regions and abroad.”

On June 24, participants from regions of the central part of the Russian Federation arrived.

The Primorye team arrived by train to Nizhny Bestyakh and crossed the Lena River on the “Moskovsky-111” motor ship.

Today, June 25, a delegation from China was met at the Yakutsk airport.

The educational program of the “Diplomat of the Future” game will be led by high-level invited experts, including representatives of the Association of Russian Diplomats: Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Deputy Chairman of the Association of Russian Diplomats Valery Egoshkin; Envoy Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Regional Studies and Foreign Policy, Dean, and Head of the Department of International Relations Boris Medvedev; and Irina Pshenichnikova, member of the Association of Russian Diplomats; Radim Kochka, a tutor for the children’s public movement “Diplomats of the Future” and a student at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, and Zhai Weixia, a representative of the People’s Republic of China.

The international “Diplomats of the Future” program is an educational and recreational space for teenagers interested in international relations, diplomacy, and intercultural communication. The project combines recreation and wellness with academic training, negotiation practice, expert sessions, and a cultural and educational program focusing on the heritage of Yakutia. Participants will learn about the specifics of diplomacy and the fundamentals of international relations, learn how to negotiate, speak publicly, and work in a team.

Over 500 schoolchildren from 14 countries passionate about science and research will participate in the III International Intellectual Games. The events will be held at five venues in Yakutsk and at the Junior Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) in the village of Chapayevo, Khangalassky District.
