3rd Yakutsk International Science Games (YISG-2026)
YISG is a platform where highly motivated and research-minded schoolchildren can connect and share experiences for self-improvement, as well as participate in collaborative development, thereby creating a community of like-minded individuals interested in research and the pursuit of knowledge. The event will be held in the format of a science festival with several separate events.

International Research School
Who can become a participant in the International Research School?
Students in grades 8–11 (from 14 years old) who are fluent in English, passionate about science and research, and open to communication.
What level of English is required?
Fluent spoken level is required (all communication, project work, and defense of results are conducted exclusively in English).
How does the selection process work?
Organizations independently select participants for their teams and arrange for an adult educator to accompany them. The recommended adult-to-child ratio in a delegation is 1 adult per 6 participants.
How much does it cost to participate in the IRS?
The registration fee for participation in the 16th International Research School is 60,000 rubles per person (student or adult).
The fee covers transfer from Yakutsk airport to the IRS venue and back, accommodation, three meals a day with a choice of dishes, transportation service from June 30 to July 10, 2026, participant packages, participation in the scientific program, cultural and leisure activities, and excursions.

How are the research groups distributed?
This takes place during the application submission. Participants choose one of the project express-groups in accordance with their scientific interests.

Participants are provided with access to modern laboratory equipment, field equipment, and measuring instruments, depending on the specifics of the chosen project.
How does the work at the IRS conclude?

How do I apply to participate in the Olympiad?

In case of cancellation of participation in the Olympiad, the registration fee is non-refundable.

How long does the presentation last?
The presentation time limit is 7 minutes. The time may be increased at the discretion of the experts.
What is the speaking order of the participants?
The order of the participants’ presentations is determined in accordance with their age.
In what language is the project defense conducted?
The working language is English. Project defense is conducted in English. Competition materials are formatted in English.
How is access/entry to the building arranged?
Participants enter the building by badge, and accompanying persons enter according to a list. The list of accompanying persons is provided by the Organizer. You must have a passport or another ID document with you.
When and how will the award ceremony take place?
The award ceremony for the participants will take place on July 4 at the official closing ceremony in a remote format. The link for connection will be published on the conference website.
