International Research School
Who can become a participant in the International Research School?
Students in grades 8–11 (from 14 years old) who are fluent in English, passionate about science and research, and open to communication.
What level of English is required?
Fluent spoken level is required (all communication, project work, and defense of results are conducted exclusively in English).
How does the selection process work?
Organizations independently select participants for their teams and arrange for an adult educator to accompany them. The recommended adult-to-child ratio in a delegation is 1 adult per 6 participants.
How much does it cost to participate in the IRS?
The fee covers transfer from Yakutsk airport to the IRS venue and back, accommodation, three meals a day with a choice of dishes, transportation service from June 30 to July 10, 2026, participant packages, participation in the scientific program, cultural and leisure activities, and excursions.
How are the research groups distributed?
This takes place during the application submission. Participants choose one of the project express-groups in accordance with their scientific interests.
What equipment is provided?
Participants are provided with access to modern laboratory equipment, field equipment, and measuring instruments, depending on the specifics of the chosen project.
How does the work at the IRS conclude?
With the defense of express projects. Teams format their research results as a poster presentation or a slide presentation and defend them before experts and colleagues, and they also receive participant certificates of an international standard.
Where exactly do the participants live?
At the venue of the Junior Academy of Sciences of the RS(Y) in comfortable residential buildings. Accommodation is in rooms for 2 people (with one bathroom per block of two rooms).
What health certificate should be provided?
A health status certificate and a certificate of no contact with infectious patients are sufficient.
What form of contract should be provided?
A standard contract for the provision of educational services is provided (filled out by parents or legal representatives of a minor participant).
Is there any free time?
The schedule is intensive, but free time is provided. The program includes communication trainings, master classes, and evening leisure activities.
Where to buy souvenir products?
Products with IRS symbols can be obtained directly at the IRS venue, and souvenirs—during planned excursions around Yakutsk.
What is strictly forbidden to do at the IRS?
Smoking, consuming alcohol, and drugs.

How do I apply to participate in the Olympiad?
You need to fill out an application form, which can be downloaded on the Olympiad website https://tuymaada.lensky-kray.ru/ under the documents section. For participants from the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the application is submitted to the SASEI HE RC(Y) “Junior Academy of Sciences of the RC(Y)”. For online participants, the application can be submitted independently; for in-person participants, the application is submitted by the team leader (centrally). After submitting the application, a reply email will contain an invitation with a registration link and a contract for the subsequent payment of the registration fee.

How much does it cost to participate in the Tuymaada ISSO?
Answer: The registration fee for Olympiad participants and their chaperones includes expenses for catering, accommodation, transportation and excursion services, proctoring, and amounts to:
— for Olympiad participants taking part in an in-person (offline) format — 30,000 (thirty thousand) rubles per 1 (one) Olympiad participant / team leader;
— for Olympiad participants taking part in a remote (online) format — 15,000 (fifteen thousand) rubles per 1 (one) Olympiad participant;
— for participants from the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) — 5,000 (five thousand) rubles per 1 (one) Olympiad participant.
In case of cancellation of participation in the Olympiad, the registration fee is non-refundable.

How do I apply for participation?

Additionally, an application for participation from an educational organization is accepted via email: yisf2026@yandex.ru (filled out by the team leader).
No more than 5 (five) projects are accepted from one educational organization. One project can represent no more than 6 participants.
In what format is the conference held?

— participants from foreign countries: confirm their participation via the link published on the conference website. Upload a photo (a team photo is allowed) in the confirmation form;
— participants from the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia): confirm their participation via the link published on the conference website. In the form, upload a business photo, consent to the processing of personal data, a receipt of the registration fee payment, and a copy of a passport or birth certificate;
— participants from other regions of the RF: send confirmation of participation by email.
How does the accreditation for in-person participants work?
You must have with you:

— a USB flash drive with the presentation for uploading to the section computer.After accreditation, in-person participants receive a participant pack and a badge.
