The XXXIII International M.A. Alekseev Tuymaada School Olympiad in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Computer Science has concluded. This year, the Olympiad was held as part of the III International Science Games from July 2 to July 10, 2026. Participants participated in a mixed format (in-person and remote), with the exception of physics, which was held in person only.

121 schoolchildren from six countries participated in the Olympiad: Indonesia, South Korea, Kazakhstan, Romania, Singapore, and the Russian Federation. Russia was represented by six regions (72 students): Moscow, Sverdlovsk, Novosibirsk, and Penza Oblasts, the Republic of Tatarstan, and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) was represented by 49 students from 12 comprehensive schools.

Participants in the Tuymaada Olympiad include winners and runners-up of renowned international and national Olympiads, including the International Experimental Physics Olympiad (IEPhO), the final round of the All-Russian School Olympiad, the International Zhautykov Olympiad, and others.

The participants’ work was reviewed and evaluated by a 64-member jury, comprised of renowned jurors and methodological committee members from national and international Olympiads, professors, teachers, graduate students, and university students—all winners of previous Tuymaada International School Olympiads.

During the Olympiad, participants solved original problems specifically designed for the Tuymaada Olympiad. The problems were presented by members of the Subject and Methodological Committee of the All-Russian School Olympiad, including Alexander Sergeevich Golovanov, Konstantin Petrovich Kokhas, Anatoly Ivanovich Vlasov, Alexander Vitalyevich Chudnovsky, Yuri Savvich Antonov, and others. The Olympiad problem statements were prepared in both Russian and English.

A total of 51 participants participated in the Mathematics subject: 26 in the Junior League and 25 in the Senior League. There were 11 participants in the Physics subject: 6 in the Junior League and 5 in the Senior League. The winners in the Junior League were Theodore Grimm, a 9th-grade student at the State Budgetary Educational Institution of the Russian Literature Institute, and Timur Mestnikov, an 8th-grade student at the V.P. Larionov Physical-Traditional Lyceum. Boris Pesterev and Anzhelika Egorova, 9th-grade students from the State Budgetary Educational Institution of the Russian Literature (GBNOU RLI), received second- and third-place diplomas in the Junior League. Stanislav Protodyakonov, an 11th-grade student from the State Budgetary Educational Institution RLI, received a second-place diploma in the Senior League, and Aleksey Neustroyev, an 11th-grade student from the Yakutsk City Lyceum, received a third-place diploma. In addition to the diplomas, special prizes were awarded: the overall winner received the Yuri Mikhailovich Grigoriev Memorial Prize, a prize from People’s Teacher Viktor Filippovich Potapov, and a special prize from the “Park of Future Generations” for the most creative solution. All physics participants received a special prize from Innokenty Innokentievich Malgarov, Director of the North-Eastern Federal University’s Physical-Technical Institute.

There are 40 participants in the Chemistry subject: 24 in the junior league and 16 in the senior league. There were 19 participants in the Computer Science category.
