On July 2, the “Sergelyakhskie Ogni” NEFU Cultural Center hosted the grand opening of the 3rd International Science Games, bringing together 549 schoolchildren from 15 countries and 22 regions of the Russian Federation. Participants take part in the M.A. Alekseev Tuymaada International School Olympiad, the International Research School, the Yakutsk International Science Fair, the “Diplomat of the Future” game, the YISG – 2026 Media School hosted by the Keskil Children’s Publishing House, and the final round of the “Smart and Clever in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)” televised humanities Olympiad for schoolchildren. Experts and team support staff are participating in the “Territory of Success” International Educational Salon for Teachers.

Aisen Nikolaev, Head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), attended the ceremony. Aleksey Obukhov, a member of the Program Committee and a leading expert at the Institute of Education at the National Research University Higher School of Economics, also spoke.
Stepan Goryavchev, a student at Information Technology Lyceum No. 24 in Neryungri, delivered a solemn oath to uphold the principles of honesty, objectivity, impartiality, and fairness on behalf of the students. Andrea Dalí Gómez Oronzo, a tutor at the International Research School and an architect and cultural heritage specialist from Mexico, delivered the oath on behalf of the experts.

The main objective of the Games is to create conditions for the intellectual development of young people, strengthen international cooperation in education and science, and support future researchers, engineers, and technological leaders. Igor Baryshev, Guest of Honor of the III International Intellectual Games and Head of the Resource and Methodological Center of the Talent and Success Educational Foundation, noted that systematic work with talented young people will enable the achievement of national scientific and technological development goals.
