We’re introducing you to our projects. We’re pleased to present the first project of the 2026 ISM, “Cultural Immersion: Beyond the Museum.”
How do people from different countries, cities, and villages view Yakut culture? What similarities and differences do they notice? Why are some images familiar and understandable, while others are perceived as unique, reflecting local meanings? How can we formulate a prototype for a museum representing the ethnicity of Yakutia from all of this?
To find answers to these questions, we will conduct field research with the IRShool 2026 participants.

You will be guided along this journey by qualified mentors knowledgeable in the topic.
Olesya Kochepasova, a student in the Master’s program “Evidence-Based Education Development” at the National Research University Higher School of Economics, resides in St. Petersburg.
Alexandra Polyakova, a graduate of the National Research University Higher School of Economics, Faculty of Social Sciences, majoring in Public and Municipal Administration. Her second major is history. She’s from Moscow.
